Hi, It worked for me. At first i tried only changing the data dir path datadir = /mnt/sdb/mysql After then, mysql server was not starting. Then i made a quick search on google and found your site and followed your guide. Again mysql was started and worked fine. Thank you very much

When moving datadir on mysql 5.5.21 by setting datadir=/var/lib/mysql/databases in /etc/my.cnf it turned out to be necessary to move the ibdata1 ib_logfile0 ib_logfile1 files into the new directory

Even I found Sharma transport is very careless in handling customers. It is not very important to point the English or grammar mistakes here as English is not your mother tongue. I received a parcel thro your Sharma transport, but I felt the way your office responds (even the language they use) to inquiries does not reflect your experience in this field. I wish you consider my comments and try to improve your service.
